Who’s Got the Best Burger?

It’s a debate as old as time- well, maybe not quite THAT old, but it does seem we debate this one often.

Who’s got the best burger in town?! Well, in Macon, Georgia- perhaps this debate will come closer to a resolution. From August 20th through the 26th, the Georgia Farmer’s and Rancher’s along with Visit Macon are leading “Macon Burger Week”.

From the Facebook event page:

So, while this event isn’t officially meant to debate who’s got the BEST burger in town, I’m thinking there will be plenty of trash talk going back and forth. You’ve got places like the Rookery and Grey Goose which are the OG’s of Macon’s burger and the newer kids on the block like Growler USA.

I even spy a few places like Felicia’s Cake Factory and Tommy’s- which I didn’t expect to be participating!

How to get started? Head over to www.maconburgerweek.com NOW and print out your passport. Read the Commandments and FAQ’s, then map out your own plan.

Each location has their own special burger they are making for this occasion, which you can see posted in the Macon Burger Week event page. It looks like all are pricing their burger for a steal at $5 each, which additional items available at another special rate.

There’s everything from a donut burger, pizza burger, and all kinds of other embellished burgers. Personally, I think I’m going to start at the Grey Goose with their bacon pimento cheese and red pepper jelly aioli. Plus- that means I get to stop next door at Karats and Keepsakes and shop 😉 Then I’ll head to FOJ next- and also stop to shop at Rumor!

And Felicia’s “burger” looks just simply divine. I guess I know what I’ll be eating all week! How about you?

Love to all y’all,
