What To Do Tonight: Macon Edition

It’s the night before Bragg Jam and all through the house, not a creature was stirring….

 

Except, not so much. I should be at home tonight resting up for the epic awesomeness that is tomorrow, but that likely won’t be there case. There’s just too much good happening tonight!

 

The Wedding Singer

 

In their 81st season being open, Macon Little Theatre presents “The Wedding Singer”. As the website says. “this will take you back to when hair was big…. and the Wedding Singer was the coolest guy in the room”.

The Tubman Museum Presents: Contemporary Arts Exchange/Macon 2014 Summer Members Exhibition

 

” The Contemporary Arts Exchange has provided studio space for artists in all media for over 20 years. Located in downtown Macon at 590 Mulberry Street, the Exchange is currently home to 16 artists. Members’ studios are open to the public on the first Friday of every month. The Exchange regularly exhibits works by guest artists from in and outside of the Middle Georgia area, and mounts two group shows for members each year. The Tubman is proud to be able to partner with the Exchange, and to be the host of the 2014 Summer Members Exhibition.” – from the Facebook page invite

Admission is free- so stop by and check it out! Dean Brown will also be providing live music.

Sundown Screen Series: Field of Dreams

 

Appropriately enough, this is being shown at…. Luther Williams Ball Park! Come check out a classic in the best venue possible for it. It’s free, concessions are available for purchase but picnic snacks and blankets are encouraged. Gates will open at 8:00 and the movie starts once it gets dark.
