Vote for Me!!! 11th Hour Awards

I’ve hesitated to write this post, just like I hesitated to ask for nominations, but what the hell…

It would be really super cool to win.

That’s not to say that i don’t have heavy competition- because I do. And they’re other bloggers that I really like. Perhaps I should back up a bit. For those not aware, I am up for Best Blogger for the 11th Hour Readers Choice Awards. This is my first year getting nominated (yay!). The other nominees are Kaylee McCullough, Roger Riddle, Angel Collins and The Blue Indian.

Roger, Angel, and Sean from TBI are friends of mine- and they put out a great products. I don’t know Kaylee personally, but I have seen her blog and she does great work.

That being said… why vote for me?

Well, I’ve worked really hard to put out a great product that covers all different aspects of life, food, fashion and entertainment in Middle Georgia.

Another reason to vote for me? Floco Torres will be my date- and he’s going to win an award so that would be pretty cool if we both won, right?

Let’s see, another reason… I actually had someone tell me my nomination was ” a mistake” and that I wouldn’t win. So it honestly would be kind of cool to tell that person how wrong they were. I won’t lie that would be really nice.

Hm…. I used to write for the 11th Hour too, right after I had my son Chris Horne let me do some food reviews AND one of them is still framed- at Fountain of Juice. (Really- it is- go to the bathroom at the Vineville location and you will see it.)

Also, I don’t know if they allow acceptance speeches or not BUT I’d probably make a real moron out of myself and that should be amusing in of itself.

AND I remember when the 11th Hour was in Statesboro and first came to Macon. (Side note: my editor at the Georgia Southern student paper did not like 11th Hour- but ended up writing for them which I thought was hilarious.)

So- tomorrow is the last day! Vote for me! And if nothing else, go and vote because I love that the 11th Hour gives us bloggers in Macon legitimacy by giving us our own award category. So, thank you Brad and Meagan.

Love to all yall
