The Perfect Mother’s Day Gifts: Beesa Skincare

Alright fellas,  Mother’s Day is coming up and it’s high time you step up your skincare game.  I can’t tell you how many times ladies ask if I have a girl just because I have facial mask and skincare products in my bathroom.  It’s always, “But you have a straight razor and a leather strop.  Why would you have a LOOK:BEAUTY Anti Blemish Mud Mask?” like being a man and not taking care of your skin are mutually exclusive.  I’m going to let yall in on a little secret, THEY’RE NOT.  Skin care has nothing to do with your gender identity.

Also, it needs to be said, “Learn to treat yo’ self.”  I will readily admit to treating myself to a salt soak after ever bar shift I work as well as a massage once a week.  When you learn how to treat yo self, you learn how to treat others.  More specifically, how to treat your Mom to a beautifully relaxing day away from the daily grind.

For those of yall just getting on your skincare game, you’re in luck, because I’ve got the hook up.  Beesa Skincare is Middle Georgia’s premiere spa-quality skincare studio offering advanced skincare treatments such as facials with enzyme peels, Glycolic facial peels, microdermabrasion, among other skin care treatments.

I had the opportunity to talk to Brooke Kinross, a Licensed Esthetician as well as the proprietor about where to start if you’re just getting into this.

Ryan: “What facial would you recommend for someone who is new to getting them? Why?”
Brooke: “I would recommend starting with a 60 minute Re-Fresher facial. Your pores will be cleaned, your face re-hydrated and balanced, plus you will be pampered with an arm, hand, neck and shoulder massage.  I would describe it as therapeutic relaxation.”

R: “What items do you use for your facials?”  beesa facial
B: “I believe that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in your body, so I strive to use cruelty free products free of artificial colorants and dyes, plus there are no hormone disrupting ingredients such as
parabens and sodium laurel sulfates. Many of my products also contain essential oils, plus I use essential oils in a diffuser to make the room smell fresh and awaken the senses when you enter.”

R: “Do you have any favorite products or scents at the moment?”
B: “I have been on a lemongrass, orange and lavender kick for a while, but have been thinking of switching over to ylang ylang, which is very romantic in my opinion.  Currently, Bioelements is the main product used during the facial treatments.  I carry many of their retail products, also.  For my clients that want “the big guns”, I retail Neostrata, a physician formulated product that focuses on anti-aging and skin renewal.  I want to be sure I carry something for everyone.”

R: “What kinds of facials make good gifts for Mother’s Day?”
B: “Of course I think they all make good gifts!  However, Moms deserve a little more time and extra pampering, so
I would highly recommend getting her a 60 minute Re-Fresher facial, or if you want to really show her how special she is, give her a 90 minute facial which also includes a foot and lower leg massage with a hot compress.
It really doesn’t get any better than that!”

I’ve given yall the heads up to get your business together, where to go to get it done, where to start, and how to show your Mom some love while you’re at it.  In summation, yall have no excuse.  Check out Beesa at their website, and treat your Mom to a lovely holiday.

Yours Truly,
Ryan
