Southern Style Sunday: Rumor Boutique

To say that Georgia weather is a touch bipolar would  be the understatement of the season. Days may start feeling rather crisp in the forty and fifty degree range,  but by afternoon those temperatures have escalated to a sweltering ninety degrees. This unpredictability makes dressing for this time of year especially difficult. Instead of having true fall temperatures, we get winter in the morning and summer for the remainder of the day. How does one manage to dress in a manner that is weather appropriate without compromising one’s style? Transition pieces.

Long-sleeve, lightweight blouses like this one with  beautiful romantic detailing from Rumor Boutique are the perfect way to stay both stylish and comfortable.

Tops like this are also incredibly versatile. For a casual-chic look, you can pair it with high-waisted  dark wash skinny jeans, booties, statement jewelry and a large bag as pictured above. For a more business-like approach, I would suggest pairing it with your favorite pair of grey or earth-toned trousers, a cuff bracelet, a tailored blazer or vest, lady-like heels, and a small, quilted handbag.

Rumor also has an abundant selection of fabulous bangles like the ones pictured above. They range in styles from simple and delicate, to bolder looks like my personal favorite Bourbon and Boweties bracelet made out of real recycled shotgun shell pieces.

Just because the weather is all over the place doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to be! Stay true to your style and check out the new fall arrivals at Rumor Boutique.
