The Southern Bon Vivant’s Top 5 Events Round the South

Part of being a Southern Bon Vivant is knowing where to go and what to see around the South. So just what IS going on? We’re going to tell you:

 

1- Historic Macon’s Design, Wine, & Dine

This is the third year for this Macon, Georgia based set of events. Head to the home of Otis Redding, just south of Atlanta, for a weekend filled with events which will demonstrate all the different ways you can design your home, eat amazing foods, and – well- drink!

Calligraphy and Crumpets with Ginna Dunlap

2-4pm • Idle Hour Country Club (251 Idle Hour Drive) • $50 • Limited to 50

Calligrapher and Stationer Ginna Dunlap will teach a class that demonstrates the basics of modern calligraphy. Tickets include class, tea refreshments, and starter calligraphy kit.”

2- Pork & Bourbon Bicycle Tour

Little Rock, Arkansas is second on our list with their Pork & Bourbon Bicycle Tour!

3- Millie’s Story Time: The Escape of Ellen & William Craft

The Cannonball House in Macon, Georgia tells the story of slaves Ellen & William Craft who were famous in their day for their daring escape.

4- In The Park After Dark Mega Zip

Did y’all enjoy our own Molly’s trip to Birmingham? Especially liked the part where she went ziplining and wore the wrong shoes?
