Please, Georgia, Please

It’s past midnight, and I am up checking out Bleacher Report to catch up on my Dawgs.

It hadn’t even hit June yet, and one of our players got suspended for the first game.

What was my hashtag? #DamnDawgs

Maybe I am being unfair…. but guys, come on. I am pleading with y’all: please, Georgia, please- no more suspensions this summer.

I promise I haven’t forgotten what it’s like to be young. I know it’s GOT to be hard to have the eyes of this state and more on you. I get it, I really do. But you see, there’s a caveat:

I’m not blessed enough to have worn your jersey.

You see, the moment a college ball player or any athlete on a national stage accepts that role they also take the responsibility that comes with it. Can’t hack it? Too hard to do? I promise you there’s a line of people who may not have as much talent as you but they have a hell of a lot more heart and discipline if that’s how it’s going to be.

I hope yall understand: we, the fans, we LOVE yall. Truly we do. I already have my three and four year olds trained to yell ” Goooooo DAWGS SIC EM WOOF WOOF WOOF”. I know this may be unexpected coming from a fashion and lifestyle blogger but yall should know your Southern Magnolia ladies really are made of steel as love the gridiron too.

So, I’m pleading with yall, please live up to our expectations. I know Georgia has a very strict drug policy but damn guys- it’s illegal anyway. Ok? So let’s be smart about this. And if nothing else respect the jersey, and the pride that comes with it.

And… I’m damn sick and tired of hearing my Tech friends rag on me about Georgia players missing games already. I’m aware the scoreboard on the field is on our side there but let’s beat our opponents off the field too, shall we?

Go Dawgs!!!

Love to all yall….
