Learn How to be The Baddest Bartender

…. well, the most bad ass bartender that WE know. Our own former Cocktail & Managing Editor Ryan Smith. While he’s moved on from writing for us, he’s definitely still super busy in the world.

You might also know Ryan from his appearances on The Creek 100.9 FM:

And now all of us have the chance to learn to be a bartender from Ryan. Oh, but HOW, Molly? You might ask. Well here’s the deets!
On Thursday January 24th from 6:30 until 9:30 pm Late Night on MLK will be hosting the first of a new monthly Cocktail Class Series. It’s aimed at providing bartenders and enthusiasts alike an opportunity to refresh their bartending skills or otherwise learn how to make certain drinks at home on their own, or people just interested in learning a new skill. This is a private event with limited seating, only 15 tickets will be sold per event (just enough to fill the seats at the bar!).

“Guests can expect to learn about the history, gastronomy, and exact preparation of 5 cocktails found on our menu + 1 advanced creation from the BarSmith himself. Each guest will receive a demonstration on how to make 6 drinks, a graphic PDF how to packet of all drinks presented in the workshop, and also receive a sample pour (1 half a serving) of each drink made. Additionally we will be giving away tools of the trade, like tumbler sets and bar mats to all attendees of this first event. So, you won’t walk out empty-handed or sober!”

“Ryan Smith of BarSmith is the premier bar consultant in Middle Georgia and has helped design some of the most popular nightlife spots in Macon including Late Nite. Ryan has a vast knowledge of all things alcohol and is super excited to share some of that knowledge with you when you attend this workshop.

The event will lead directly into our Thursday night service and dance party starting at 9PM.”

Event Overview:
Date/Time: Thursday January 24th, 630PM to 930PM
$$$: Tickets are $50 ea & cover 6 cocktails, a PDF recipe guide, and cocktail demo by BarSmith’s Master Mixologist Ryan Smith
With only 15 tickets for the event, I know it’s going to sell out, and since Ryan used to be our Cocktail writer I know firsthand about his skills, and I won’t be selfish enough to grab tickets from someone else.  So one of y’all will have to tell me all about it, I know it’ll be amazing.
Love to all y’all,
Molly
