It’s a #RingThing

So, accessories are big- and have been big for a while. But it’s like they just keep growing and growing and growing… eek! Personally, I really prefer to keep my jewelry simple. A Tiffany necklace (so I don’t have to take it off- they hold up in the shower perfectly), stud earrings- currently I have been wearing Diana Warner’s Sarah Sparkle Stud, and a few bracelets.

However, I love the layered look. It started with bracelets: Betsy Pittard, Knot + Bow, Kiki-Jabri Jewels and now Dotted Tusk. Then necklaces, layering various necklaces and lengths, however now the trend is heading towards rings. Now, we can’t exactly “layer” rings per se- but we can vary the types of rings we wear, the size, and how far they go down our fingers. I first was exposed to the idea of “knuckle rings” by Sabrina Sikora when she styled me for the photo shoot we did. Many times, with both photo shoots as well as coture fashion, it’s more about the art of the shot. As Julie from Karats and Keepsakes always asks me before a shoot “is this meant to be literal?”

This is an example of something NOT “literal” crossing over in to everyday fashion. So, I am here to tell you, knuckle rings are on their way to becoming mainstream. I have been looking for some good ones, mostly online, however when I dropped in to Rumor Boutique the other day to check out the Dotted Tusk trunk show, I had a gift waiting on me from Moon and Lola:

Ashley from Rumor Boutique had a meeting with the owner of Moon and Lola- Kelly Shatat, and they talked about the I Love Macon campaign that took place here in Macon. As such, Kelly of Moon and Lola sent this necklace- asking if there was a local blogger who might like it. Lucky for me, Ashley told her about me.

So, I am the proud new owner of not just a Moon and Lola design (I have several of their items as is as have given thm as gifts)- but I also one of their knuckle rings. I saw them and HAD to have one. I even posted pictures of my new lovelies on Instagram tonight and oh-my-Gosh the conversation they started! Not only did Moon and Lola respond, but all kinds of friends were “liking” the posts.

So, if you have wanted to know where to find some cute knuckle rings, or you want to know now, then head over to Rumor Boutique to pick some up by Moon and Lola. Also- sorry for the brief sidebar! I got a lil off topic and excited 😉

Love to all yall…
