Close but no Cigar

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks in college football and this past weekend lived up to the hype too. Ole Miss beating Alabama, Texas being down 21 points at the start of the 4th quarter and coming back to ALMOST beat Cal. Insanity.  But I think that’s why we all love college football. We love it for the upsets, the comeback kids, the matchups, the tailgating; but most importantly, I think we love it, because we know, in the depths of our souls, that these kids playing college football, are doing it because they love the game, not for some multi million dollar paycheck.

ANYWAYS,

Here’s how we all did last week.
Katie  10-4  (36-6)
Molly 9-5  (23-5) * didn’t participate week 1
Garret 8-6 (34-8)
Daniel 8-6 (36-6)
Sarah 8-6  (20-8)  * didn’t have guest picker week 1

This week’s guest picker is Chris Floore, Chris is the Assistant to the County Manager for Macon-Bibb Co. He grew up watching University of Kentucky basketball. His parents both graduated from there, so it’s all that was watched. He didn’t know there was a UK football team for many years. When Chris got to the University of South Carolina, he saw his first game…and it was a loss. Then they won a game. Then they lost 21 games in a row; yep, it was the last year of Brad Scott and first year of Lou Holtz. Sticking through it, the past several years have been great for his team, but this year feels like college. So he wants the whole Top 25 to be in disarray, and with Alabama and Auburn already losing…it’s a great start.
