A Burger That’s Better for All- The Blended Burger Project

WE WANT MACON TO WIN!!!!

Ok, well, maybe it’s more like… we want our hometown Rookery burger to win the Blended Burger Project!

Still confused? Ok, let’s start from the top.

“The Blended Burger Project™ is a movement that strives to make burgers better by blending ground meat with chopped mushrooms, creating an incredibly delicious patty that’s healthier for your guests and more sustainable for the planet.” – That’s straight from the James Beard Foundation‘s website. And in case you don’t know who they are, they’re a huge national non-profit which works to promote the culinary arts. They also give out these big awards each year and do really cool food stuff.

Now, they’re doing this Blended Burger project, and the Macon, Georgia-based The Rookery is entering. Want to know more? Check out this video interview I did with Chef Kevin McCauley:

Want to help? Go and order one, then tweet, Instagram, Facebook (public post!) about it using the hashtag #BlendedBurgerProject! And then keep your eyes open for the online voting- we know Macon excels at that. We will keep you posted here, too!

Love to all y’all,
