Breaking News: New Boutique in Macon, Georgia

I have exciting news: there’s a new boutique coming to the Ingleside area of Macon.

As much as I love downtown, I literally drive through Ingleside to get there- and many of the boutiques that I love are in the opposite direction. Jack & Darcy coming to Ingleside was damn near life changing for me, so to know there will be another place to stop and shop- well I knew y’all would be just as excited.

AND they will be having their soft opening this Saturday- so that means there will be lots going on in the Ingleside Village area, because Jack & Darcy is having their Shop For The Paws event the same day.

But first, I thought I’d let y’all get to know the ladies of Magnolia Lace a little bit, so I did a quick interview with them.

MIWM: Tell me your names please and where y’all are from 🙂

Cindy Mcmichael from Louisville, Kentucky, but has been a in Macon for 33years; Jessica White, born and raised in Macon; and Brittany Moore, also born and raised in Macon.

MIWM: What did y’all do before opening this boutique?

Cindy has been a realtor/broker and has worked in hospice sales.
Jessica has worked at GEICO.
Brittany, stay at home mom for the past 4 years raising her daughter and son.

MIWM: So tell me, what made y’all decide to open this boutique?

We have tossed around the idea of a boutique for several years. We have been watching the Ingleside area for over a year and decided now is the right time to join this exploding area. We are a mom and two daughters co-owner shop. We all have a creative spirit and a flair for fashion. All together we make a great team. At Magnolia Lace we want customers to feel welcome and comfortable in getting advice on what looks great together and an at home southern shopping experience.

MIWM: How did you come up with the name ‘Magnolia Lace’?

We had a board meeting in our PJs on the front porch one morning tossing around names. We wanted it to be southern and classy, and what’s more southern and classy than Magnolias and Lace. That’s When the name Magnolia Lace was born.

MIWM: What makes your store unique?

What makes our store unique is that we carry sizes small to 3x. We want everyone to be able to wear cute and fashionable clothing. We also have personal monogramming in our store. We have brought in local artists that specialize in jewelry, bowties, and wonderful smelling candles. We carry some great lines that are hard to find such as Dang Chicks, Simply Southern, and some other great lines that are in the works. We also are going to be carrying awesome gear for our Mercer Bears. If you are looking for something special and can’t find it, tell us and we will find it! Also for those Moms with children, don’t worry we have a safe playroom to entertain your sweet children.

Well, there you have it everyone! So be sure to stop in Magnolia Lace this weekend and say hello to Macon’s newest boutique owners! I can tell you I stopped in the other night and made my introductions, and I saw some handbags that I’m already dying over 😉

Note: I will add pictures a little later!

Love to all y’all,
