Back to an Old Favorite: The Back Burner

The Back Burner has always been one of those places I love to go for a special night, or a fancy lunch, or luncheons and more.

But what I really love about it is the simple elegance that Chef Julio and his wife, Karen, have breathed to life.

I’ve known Julio for… a long time. My first “real job” out of college was as a banquet coordinator at Tic Toc Room and he was Executive Chef there at the time. I remember learning about the hours and hours that he would braise his Ossobuco, and the time that goes into preparing for dinners and parties. All done with a smile and respect for those in his kitchen and at his table.

I’ve never had a bad meal there- it’s just not possible. Not only is the food itself served and prepared with so much care, but Julio comes and checks on his tables- making SURE you’ve loved every last bite.

There’s Lobster Thursdays and Saturday Brunches with all the mimosas you could drink- but then there’s just ordinary nights when you need something more special than staying at home.

And of course, you can’t leave without dessert…. I know because Julio never lets me- ha!

Exercise be damned!

I can’t wait to see y’all there!!

Love to all y’all,

Molly
